Entry Scholarships .

As part of our commitment to widening access to residential colleges, Grace College has a range of Entry Scholarships for incoming first-year residents.

We also offer a variety of awards, scholarships and bursaries to current residents.

Grace College Scholarships .

In 2026, Grace College has General Entry Scholarships and Dr Dorothy Radford Indigenous Entry Scholarships.

Entry Scholarships are open to all new, full year (40 week) applicants, at the following amounts:

Eligibility and applications .

Scholarships are awarded based on Academic Achievement, Community Participation & Service, Financial Need, with preference given to applicants who are:

  • Of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander background;
  • From a drought-affected, flood and/or fire affected rural or remote region;
  • Attending university as an international student; and/or
  • Outstanding sportspersons, arts performers or contributors to community at state, national or international level (open to both domestic and international applicants).

Previous recipients .

My scholarship has helped by allowing me to study without the worry of working to be able to keep my position here at Grace, helping me focus on my uni work and this community. For me the best thing about Grace is the community, I love my fellow Gracies. All of the events we have on at Grace are fun and bring this great sense of connection and relationship between everyone at college. I just enjoy hanging out with this great group of people I live with.

I am someone who has dealt with financial hardship for a long time, and with parents who are separated with my dad overseas and my mum in NSW, it is hard to receive that consistent financial support. Given other personal financial situations, I myself am paying for my Grace fees with my savings from work; and working while studying is very hard to do to accumulate the needed fees for Grace. This scholarship helped me immensely as it meant I could take more time to focus on my academics and enjoy the college environment, without having to dedicate so much time working. It relieved a huge level of stress off my shoulders and brought so much joy to me and my family

This scholarship helped me to relieve the financial burden of attending university, while allowing me to focus on my studies.

Thanks to this scholarship, I had the privilege of living at College, where I found lifelong friends and made the most of the extracurricular activities at Grace.
Coming from regional Queensland and having experienced financial hardship, the idea of moving away from home and having to pay for college, university, and extra-curriculars was daunting. Luckily, this scholarship has taken so much of the worries and strain off of both myself and my wallet.
Thanks to the scholarship, I have been able to enjoy the college community to its fullest and have found a family and a home here. I would have only had the opportunity to be at Grace for one year, but I have had the privilege of living here for 3 thanks to the scholarship’s financial aid.
I am so grateful for the opportunity to stay longer than I imagined I ever thought I could have.

UQ Accommodation Grants & Scholarships .

Grace College, in partnership with The University of Queensland, supports Young Achievers to access higher education through the Grace College Young Achievers Residential Scholarship. The scholarship provides a contribution to residential costs, valued at $6,000 per year for up to 3 years.
